Sessions v2 is rolling out now. The big change: when you set a deadline, Sessions finishes by that deadline — every time. Plus honest upfront checks, a faster pace, and smart catch-up when a run falls behind.
Sessions was built on a simple promise: give it a draft and a deadline, and it writes the document into your Google Doc at a human pace, done by the time you asked for.
For most Sessions, that's exactly how it went. But not all of them. If you gave Sessions a long piece and a tight deadline, it could quietly slip past the time you'd set. If the deadline never really fit the length in the first place, you'd only find out at the end — when the doc came up short of finished.
Sessions v2 is our answer to that. The promise you set is the promise it keeps. Here's what's new.
It finishes on time — every time
The headline change: when you set a deadline, Sessions now finishes your document by that deadline. Not most of the time. Every time. If you asked for the draft by 9 PM Thursday, it's done by 9 PM Thursday.

Honest deadlines, no surprises
The best way to hit a deadline is to know upfront whether the deadline is even possible. In v2, if the time you've picked is too tight for how much you're writing, Sessions tells you before the run starts — so you can give it a little more room, or trim the draft, before you commit. No quiet shortfalls halfway through. What you're promised is what you get.
Noticeably faster
Sessions now works through your document quicker. Same paced, human writing — just less waiting for it. Your draft lands sooner without ever feeling rushed or robotic. Nothing to configure; every new Session uses the faster pace automatically.
Smart catch-up
Things happen. A machine goes to sleep, a connection blips, life gets in the way. In v2, if a Session ever falls a little behind for any reason, it picks up the pace on its own to still hit your deadline — no babysitting required. You set it, and it takes care of itself.
The same natural feel
All of this keeps the writing rhythm Sessions is known for: unhurried, paragraph by paragraph, with the pauses and revisions that make a document read like a person wrote it over time. Nothing about the feel of the output has changed. It just gets there more reliably.
