What your LLM can do

Six tools, scoped to your account. The LLM never sees your Google password — Duey holds the Drive credentials.

  • create_sessionSchedule a Duey Session over hours, days, or weeks.
  • list_sessionsShow all your scheduled, running, and completed sessions.
  • get_session_statusCheck progress on a specific session.
  • cancel_sessionCancel a scheduled or running session.
  • list_recent_docsPick a recently-touched Google Doc to attach.
  • get_session_transcriptRead the source text being typed.
  • humanize_textRewrite AI-generated text to read as human-written.
  • detect_ai_textScore whether text reads as AI-written (with backup fallback).
  • get_account_statusRead your plan, free-trial state, and Drive connection.

How it works

  1. 1
Add Duey to your LLM client
Paste the server URL into Claude/ChatGPT/Cursor's MCP settings — or click the one-click install link from the install guide.
  2. 2
    Sign in to Duey once
Your client opens a Duey consent screen. Approve, and the client gets a refresh token tied to your account. No API keys.
  3. 3
    Start delegating to your LLM
Ask Claude to “start a Duey Session that writes this draft into my paper.docx over the next 3 days.” It calls create_session, you check progress later with list_sessions.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the Duey MCP server?

An MCP (Model Context Protocol) server that exposes Duey Sessions as tools your LLM can call. Once installed, Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, or any MCP-compatible client can start, list, and cancel Duey Sessions on your behalf — writing drafts into Google Docs with a realistic edit history without you leaving your chat.

Which LLM clients can connect?

Any client that speaks the standard Streamable HTTP MCP transport — Claude Desktop, Claude Code, ChatGPT (set up via chatgpt.com → Settings → Apps → Advanced settings → Developer mode → Create app; the connector then works in ChatGPT on web, desktop, and mobile), OpenAI's Responses API, and Cursor. The server URL is https://app.duey.ai/api/mcp.

Do I need an API key?

No. The Duey MCP server uses OAuth 2.1 with PKCE and Dynamic Client Registration. When your LLM client connects for the first time, you'll see a Duey consent screen — approve once and it's wired up. No keys to manage or rotate.

What can the LLM actually do?

Nine things across Sessions, Humanizer, Detector, and account info: create_session, list_sessions, get_session_status, cancel_session, list_recent_docs, and get_session_transcript for Sessions; humanize_text to rewrite AI text as human; detect_ai_text to score AI-written-ness; and get_account_status for read-only plan and trial info. It can't see your Google password or anything outside Duey.

Is the MCP server free?

Yes, the connector itself is free. Standard Duey Sessions usage rules still apply — the free tier gets one trial session, Unlimited subscribers get unmetered access.

How do I revoke an LLM's access?

Visit app.duey.ai/settings → Connected apps (MCP). Click Disconnect next to any client. That immediately revokes its refresh token and invalidates future requests.
